Work Experience
Since completing the C.A. in 2012, has experience across industries such as Education (5 years as a full-time teacher in Mumbai), Consulting (2.5 years with EY India's audit team), FMCG (2.5 years on financial reporting with a listed entity in Future Group), Building Materials (a year implementing a new ERP regime with Infra. Market, a unicorn by an IIMA alumnus), and in B2B manufacturing (a year in the current role at Minex). Perhaps due to a willingness to learn quickly and comfort with working under pressure, opportunities to work on one-time campaigns with little in-firm knowhow have repeatedly been presented across roles and organizations, and these have been found to be the most rewarding and fulfilling.
Nature of Work
As Senior Manager - Financial Strategy, the role at Minex is to ideate and oversee initiatives to maximize shareholder value. Works with the directors, the CFO, and a host of external partners (wealth managers, investment bankers, management consultants, and restructuring consultants) to plan and execute internal restructuring, investment decisions, and other long-term objectives of shareholders. Also oversees the Mumbai finance team, which is responsible for timely and accurate reporting and statutory compliances. One of the more recent projects involves developing a more accurate and dynamic forecasting function at Minex to enable better Business Finance decisions.
