Abhishek Mundhra

Abhishek Mundhra is a Chartered Accountant currently pursuing an MBA at IIM Ahmedabad. He has a strong foundation in finance, accounting, and business strategy, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He currently serves as a Manager at Asian Paints Limited, where he leads financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, ERP system implementation (SAP, Tally, ZOHO), and statutory compliance. His role focuses on optimizing financial processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving strategic growth initiatives to support the company's expansion into new businesses. Previously, Abhishek worked at PwC India in the Deals & Strategy team, where he was involved in multiple high-impact transactions, analyzing financial statements, assessing EBITDA and cash flows, and conducting valuations to support mergers, acquisitions, and investment decisions. Prior to that, he was part of the Audit & Assurance team at PwC India, where he conducted statutory audits for listed companies, assessed internal controls, and ensured compliance with financial reporting standards. His expertise lies in financial strategy, risk assessment, business process optimization, and regulatory compliance, enabling him to contribute effectively to business growth, operational excellence, and informed decision-making.

Abhishek is a finance and accounting professional with extensive experience in financial planning, business operations, and strategic decision-making. As a Manager at Asian Paints Limited, he leads financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and ERP system implementation (SAP, Tally, ZOHO) for new business ventures. His responsibilities include preparing month-end and year-end financial statements, conducting financial planning & analysis (FP&A), optimizing working capital, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. He works closely with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives, drive cost efficiencies, and support long-term growth.

Previously, he was part of PwC India’s Deals & Strategy (Financial Due Diligence) team, where he conducted in-depth financial analysis, assessed EBITDA and cash flows, and performed valuations for mergers, acquisitions, and investment transactions across startups, infrastructure, and FMCG sectors. His role involved evaluating business performance, identifying financial risks, and providing key insights to support high-value deals. Prior to this, he was part of PwC India’s Audit & Assurance division, where he managed statutory audits for publicly listed entities, ensured financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, and assessed internal controls to enhance financial reporting integrity and risk management frameworks.
