A wide range of experience has been gained working on board a ship with people from different nationalities and cultures. The working culture varied from individual to individual, and the nature of work was challenging. This experience proved valuable in the current organization, where the challenges were on a completely different level. Stalwarts in the industry had some basic understanding and were reluctant to accept system-level changes, which were required for the growth of the organization. Breaking stereotypes required significant effort and work.
