Atharva Patil

Born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra. Completed schooling there and was always encouraged by parents to pursue holistic development — balancing academics, extracurriculars, and sports. Over the years, participated in several competitive exams, interschool quizzes, and tournaments, while developing a strong passion for chess. Played competitively for a few years, earning an international FIDE rating. Later pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. Led one of the institute’s oldest clubs and represented BITS in intercollegiate chess tournaments. Graduated in 2021 and began the professional journey in the Oil and Gas domain with Schlumberger UK PLC (now SLB) in Aberdeen, Scotland. Currently based in Abu Dhabi, working as a Senior Performance Live Engineer with SLB Middle East.
